Essential Duties:
- Responsible for assisting Superintendents and Project Managers in planning for the successful fulfillment of construction projects
- Assisting in supervising the on-site aspects of construction project fulfillment
- Assuming all of the duties and responsibilities of a Superintendent on assigned smaller jobs
- Developing and fostering relationships with customers and referral source
- Communicating and collaborating with members of management and staff within the Group and throughout the company
- Providing mentoring and training support to site support staff
- Ensuring that all team members associated with projects support and adhere to the M-K core values and safety culture and related policies and practices
- Supporting and adhering to all company operating and regulatory compliance-focused policies and practices.

Proficient reading, writing, grammar and analytical skills; visioning, planning and forecasting abilities; demonstrated work management, people management, leadership and coaching abilities; proficient knowledge and understanding of construction project supervision and oversight and the relationship between effective project supervision processes and project profitability; an entrepreneurial drive and inclination toward growing customer and referral network relationships; proficient computer skills and the demonstrated ability to use project management software applications; capability to effectively assist in overseeing and supervising projects and a drive to achieve and produce results on time; proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills; collaborative and generative attitudes and abilities toward working as part of a team.
Education / Experience:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree in construction preferred; specific training and education focused on the construction project management discipline; OSHA training, CPR and Standard First Aid training/certification; Green card for SCE preferred.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contracts construction company preferred.
