Design/Build is a delivery method by which Morgan-Keller takes overall responsibility for both the design and construction of a project. This is one of the most practical means of construction. The process is simplified for the Owner because there is only one point of contact for both the design and construction.
In the role of Design/Builder, Morgan-Keller selects and hires design professionals who are most qualified for the specific type of project. We coordinate all aspects of the design, maintain the budget and schedule goals established with the client, and oversee the coordination of numerous project team members.
Examples of additional advantages to the Design/Build approach would be early contractor input on pricing and constructability issues and that a Guaranteed Maximum Price can be established during the design phase. Design/Build also allows for a tighter schedule because some construction phases can begin before the entire design is complete.
