Construction is underway at Atlantic Blvd Apartments, a new 80-unit affordable housing development in Sterling, VA.
On July 17th, Morgan-Keller joined developers Green Street Housing and Good Housing, along with Poole & Poole Architecture (2PA), for a groundbreaking ceremony. The event marked a key milestone for one of the fastest-moving affordable housing projects in Northern Virginia. Local officials in attendance emphasized the project’s potential as a model for future development across the region.
Located at 21895 Atlantic Blvd., the site borders the Washington & Old Dominion Trail and was previously a Virginia Department of Transportation stormwater site. Following redevelopment, the new community will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments for households earning up to 60% of the area median income. Planned amenities include a community room, fitness center, business center, playground, pollinator garden, bocce ball court, covered bicycle storage, and direct trail access.
Atlantic Blvd Apartments are estimated to wrap up in the fall of 2026, with leasing expected to begin shortly thereafter.
